Elizabeth Short (1924 - abt. 1947)

Elizabeth Short was born July 29, 1924 in Hyde Park, Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States.^[1] She was a daughter of Cleo Alvin Short Jr. and Phoebe Mae Sawyer.^[2][3]

Elizabeth Short had four siblings, all of them sisters. Her sisters were named Virginia, Dorothea, Elenora, and Muriel.

On January 14, 1947, Elizabeth was murdered.^[1][4]

On the morning of January 15, 1947, Short's naked body was found severed into two pieces on a vacant lot on the west side of South Norton Avenue, in Leimert Park, Los Angeles. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland, Alameda County, California, United States.^[5]
