Biography

When CALEB Edward Dano was born on February 25, 1889, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, his father Royal Dano was 23 and his mother Mary Stockbridge was 20. He was just a couple months old when his mother died from Scarlet Fever on April 18, 1889. Caleb was raised by his grandparents; Caleb Stockbridge and Mary Martha (Phalen)Stockbridge. He married Mary Josephine O'Connor, an Irish immigrant on February 16, 1922, in New York City. They had three children together. He died on April 30, 1945, New York. He did not live to see what a notable character actor his son, Royal Dano became.
