Thomas was born about 1824. He was a journeyman shoe maker living at Saint Marylebone, Middlesex, England with his wife, Elisa and son, Thomas (born about 1842) in 1851.
He was buried in 1887 at Saint Johns Churchyard, Wakefield, Tasman District, Tasman, New Zealand. [3]
Betty Bint writes in her research 1987: Thomas Harris died at Motupiko, he was of Portsmouth.

Hi Christine, Hope it ok that I edited some more information into this profile. I think this Thomas is a brother to my g-g grandfather, John Thomas Harris: (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Harris-37483). Their siblings were all baptised at Portsea. Its looking very much like the same family. Still I think more research on all the siblings should make it clearer... regards Kathy
