The second Jonathan Acklom of Wiseton was born about 1728. This date is supported by more than one source but when combined with a supposed death date in 1812 it gives him an unusually long life for the period of 84 years.
Jonathan (1728-1812) carried out extensive enclosure on his estates at Wiseton, Mattersey, Everton, Misson and Scrooby in north Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. He also rebuilt Wiseton Hall in 1771, and employed William Lindley of Doncaster to extend it in 1787.
Jonathan Acklom of Wiseton marries Mary Constable of Wassand in Beverley Minster 1760. The groom was probably about 32 and the bride 22. [1]
It seems that Mary was 22 at marriage and her husband ten years older: This makes the birth of five children 1761 to 1781 a likely outcome, but the birth of three girls 1781-1804 is unlikely to be a product of this marriage, and no other marriage is on record.
It is implied but not explicitly stated in some sources that the inheriting son Richard 1763-1812 has some years in possession.
Yet according to other sources Jonathan 1728 and his heir Richard 1763 and Richard's wife Elizabeth Barnard all die in the same year 1812, leaving the estates in the hands of a sole heiress Esther ACKLOM. This should be easy to settle.

This is part of a personal project on the ACKLOMS of Wiseton
and their family. At present (Aug 2018) it is disorganised and
to some extent self-contradictory.
