Constantine Abaly, one of Madison's oldest residents and an octogenarian, died at his home, 431 West Gorham street, late Monday afternoon of old age and grip. He had been sick ten days. He was 84 years of age. The deceased was born in Carlsruhe, Baden Germany, August 23, 1821. His parents we born in Marseilles, France. At the age of seven years, he came with his father and mother to Boston. He removed to Madison, October 1854, and has lived her ever since.

Mr. Abaly was a carpenter contractor, but had retired to private life many years ago. Sixty-one years ago, he married Miss Mary Everly at Providence, R. I. Besides his wife, who is over 80 years old, he leaves five sons and two daughters. The sons are C. H., John, David and Dr. W. C. Abaly of this city and Henry Abaly of Decanter, Ill. The daughters are Mrs. Mary Davison, or Richland Center and Mrs. Elizabeth Sutcliff or Estherville, Ia. Two children died in infancy. A brother, Dr. Joseph Abaly, died in London, England, about seven years ago. The deceased belonged to the Masons.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon aft 2 o'clock at the Masonic temple.
