NEWPAPER OBIT transcribed by Wayne Huff
Mr. Thomas Huff died at his home in White Deer on the 26th ult., aged 74 years and 2 months. About six years ago he received several attacks of paralysis, but survived them, until a few days ago when he was again attacked with same trouble, which resulted in death.
Mr. Huff was a soldier in the civil war, and expressed his devotion to his country by fighting in her defense, and as the active service in those days resulted mostly in privation and suffering, so he was one who, regardless of what might be the consequences, underwent considerable weariness and danger in order to preserve the integrity and honor of our country.
He passed away about 1898. He was buried in Churchill Lutheran Cemetery, Kelly Township (later Saint Johns Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Lewisburg), Union County, Pennsylvania.
