Would you please tell me where that application for pension is? I have Joseph Marler married to Mary Massey 1834. Also, Sarah French was born in 1760. It is not likely that she would have married a man 30 years her junior.

Ok, that's a good source, and I've found something else. The Sarah French I'm taking about was born in Connecticut. This is taken from Family Search. Unfortunately, the information was input from a GEDcom, so I've no way to corroborate it. There's another source for her, the 1850 census where her age is "93" but it shows she was born in South Carolina. So, that's not the same person who was born in Connecticut! There are a lot of mistakes on Family Search, so I'm going to back off this and work on another part of my tree/
