Biography
Caroline was born about 1754. She passed away in 1823.
Caroline Fitzgerald, only daughter and heiress of Richard Fitzgerald of Mount Ophaly, co. Kildare, and Margaret King, heiress of James King, fourth and last baron Kingston.
Caroline Fitzgerald married on 5 Dec 1769 Robert King, eldest son of Edward, first earl of Kingston (1726–1797), and Jane, daughter of Thomas Caulfeild of Donamon, co. Roscommon. By their marriage the family estates were reunited. [1]
Children included 6 sons and 5 daughters:
- Mary Elizabeth eloped with Henry Gerald Fitzgerald, married in Apr 1805 to George Galbraith Meares of Clifton.
