August Wallén was born out of wedlock in Näsby parish 16 June 1843. His mother was the maid Catharina Fröjd at Hinseberg and his father was said to be book keeper Johan August Wallén at HInseberg.[1] It doesn't look like his parents married.[2][3]
The colporteur August Wallén, then living in Köhlsta, married Sofia Persdotter 26 September 1871.[4] They moved to Köping in October 1871.[5]

August Wallén arrived from Motala to Lidköping with his daughter Esther Sofia Paulina in December 1876. He is in the book as a methodist missionary.[11] They moved out in June 1877, destination Gävle.[12]
In 1877 we find August Wallén (as a salesman) in Gävle, arrived from Lidköping 20/1 with daughter Esther Sofia Paulina. In Gävle he met Maria Magdalena Bergman, and marriage banns were read 20 July. However they did not marry - their engagement was formally broken 16/1 1878. (Both married someone else a few months later.)[13] August Wallén married Maria Albertina Hellström 3/3 1878. They moved to Flen 7/11 1878.[14][15][16]
August Wallén, Maria Albertina Hellström and Esther Sofia Paulina Wallén arrived in Flen from Gävle 15/11 1878. They left for Eskilstuna 7/12 1879.[17]
The family lived in Eskilstuna from 8/12 1879 to 2/8 1881, when they left for Frustuna.[18]
August Wallén died from consumption in Frustuna 11 May 1881.[19][20]
