Springfield Leader-Press, Friday, Feb 29, 1952,
Mrs. Lena Marcell, 78, of 1127 S. Florence, died at 1:45 this morning at St. John's Hospital where she had been confined for the past five days. Mrs. Marcell came to Springfield at the age of five from San Antonio, Texas. She was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church. She is survived by a son, M. K. Marcell of 1050 Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. Homer Nearing, Allentown, PA; Mrs. Milton Hoffman, 1050 E. Cherokee, Springfield, MO; Mrs. Josephine Quinn, 1227 S. Florence, Springfield, MO; a sister, Mrs. Ada Coil of Kansas City; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Alma Lohmeyer-Jewell E. Windell funeral home.
