Biography

John Chute was born on 25 April 1767 in Windham, Maine, and christened the next day. His parents were Curtis Chute and Miriam (Carr) Chute^[1].

He married Elizabeth Andrew on 22 November 1793. They had seven children^[2]:

1. John, born 22 Sep 1794; died young

2. Betsy, born 22 Dec 1795; died 1798

3. Abram W., born 7 Jan 1797

4. John, born 7 Feb 1798; married Mary Kidder

5. Elizabeth, born 9 Feb 1799; married William Windsor

6. Miriam, born 25 Sep 1800; married Nathan Church

7. Jonathan Andrew, born 23 Apr 1811

John passed away on 15 July 1857^[3] and is buried in Chute Cemetery in Naples, Maine^[4].
