GLOUCESTER — Julie A. Francis, 46, of Gloucester, died suddenly on Friday evening, Oct. 17, 2008 at the Addison Gilbert Hospital.
Born in Gloucester on Feb. 17, 1962, she was the daughter of Ronald L. Francis of Gloucester and the late Hannah (Curtis) Francis. Julie was a graduate of Gloucester High School with the class of 1980.
She was currently employed as an Investment Advisor with Alliance Resources in Danvers.
Julie was a very devoted mother to her sons Bryan and James, actively supporting their education and sporting endeavors. She never missed their football or lacrosse games and took it upon herself to establish a non-profit organization in support of Cape Ann Youth Lacrosse, where she had served as Treasurer and as a Board Member. Throughout her life, Julie was well known for incredibly kind and sweet personality. All of her life, she gave of herself, to her family and friends in whatever was needed. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two sons, Bryan and James Iwanicki; her father, Ronald L. Francis; her brothers, their wives and children, Robert and Diane (Pramas) Francis and Zachary and Carly, Kenneth and Julie (Bishop) Francis and Christian and Ryan, Keith and Leah (Hoey) Francis and Kameron, Jeffrey and Melissa (Mitchell) Francis and Brayden; her maternal grandmother, Winifred Curtis, all of Gloucester; mother-in-law, Juanita Hutchins; many aunts and uncles and Bryan and James' father, Michael Iwanicki.
She was predeceased by her mother, Hannah (Curtis) Francis.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester, on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will be held in Beechbrook Cemetery, West Gloucester. Contributions may be made in her memory to Bryan and James Iwanicki College Fund, c/o Jeffrey Francis, 30 Webster St., Gloucester, MA 01930.
