Mrs. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Elsheimer Yohe, wife of Louis Yohe, formerly of La Crescent, but now of Bucyrus, N.D. died at her home May 30, 1919 of diptheria.

Mrs. Yohe was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Elsheimer, prominent residents of Crooked Creek town. She was born at Greenfield, Mass. June 2, 1862 and came to Houston county with the family in the early 20's where she lived until she was married to Louis Yohe of Freeburg, September 21, 1886. Mr. and Mrs. Yohe lived first at Reno, then at New Albin. They arrived to La Crewcent in 1896 and to Bucyrus, N.D. in 1911.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Yohe leaves four sons: George of Clayton, Iowa. Louis, Henry and Walter at home; four daughters: Mrs. Anton Rahr of La Crescent, Mrs. Oscar Bauer of La Moille, Mrs. Oliver E. Christianson of Reeder, ND, Mrs. George Van Vegel of Mott, ND, two sisters: Mrs. Henry Lampert and Miss Adline Elsheimer of Brownsville; and two brothers: Philip of New Albin, IA and Valentine of Preston, Minn. Mrs. Rahr and Mrs. Bauer reached their mother's bedside just before her death and were held in quarantine for two weeks, but are now at home.

Mrs. Yohe was a good Christian woman, a kind neighbor, and exemplary wife and mother and an honorable citizen. She had many friends in this vicinity who sympathize with the family in their bereavement.
