Biography
Gordon was born in 1920. He was the son of Francis Percival Hewitt and Ruby Aileen Peet.
Gordon served in the Air Force during World War Two and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
He was married twice: to Edna Peggy May Jones, while in England (during WWII), and to Bonnie Ellen Costin nee Reid.
He passed away in 2006. His funeral service was on 11 Nov 2006. He was cremated and his ashes interred at Purewa Cemetery.
