Anne Maria Inyon Cooper was born in 1777 in the parish of Brooke, Norfolk, England. She was the daughter of the Reverend Samuel Cooper and his wife Maria Susanna Bransby. Maria was baptised at Brooke parish church on 27 April 1777:
COOPER: Anne Maria Inyon daughter of Samuel Cooper D.D. and Maria Susanna his wife baptised April 27th.[1]
Her unusual middle name of Inyon was in honour of the Inyon family. Her maternal great aunt Margaretta Bransby had married Thomas Inyon, physician and her grandfather described him as "my dear Brother Inyon" in his Will. [2]
At the age of 10, Anna was witness to her brother Lovick's marriage at Great Yarmouth.
She died in October 1793 and was buried at the Bransby family church of Shottesham All Saints on 23 October 1793. [3] Both Bransby grandparents had been buried there and three of Samuel and Maria's children.
