Biography

Margaret was born in Port Malcolm, Nova Scotia in 1866. She is the daughter of Peter Malcolm and Rebecca Williams. She married Samuel Andrews sometime before 1894, and apparently in the US, where their oldest child, John D. was born. They appear to have moved back to Port Malcolm in 1897, and the 1901 Census shows them living in Port Malcolm with three children, the younger two who appear to have been born in Port Malcolm. She is a widow living in the household of her mother in 1911, with three children between the ages of ten and sixteen. The 1931 Census shows her living in Port Malcolm in the household of her son, Walter. She was living with her daughter, Mrs. Roland Blair (presumably Edith) in Truro, Nova Scotia in 1941 when she died. She was buried in Port Malcolm Cemetery.
