Helen, born in 1909 in Saskatchewan, was recorded in the Prairie Provinces Census, 1926, living in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.[1] She married Senator John Hnatyshyn in 1931 and was the mother of Governor General Ray Hnatyshyn.
Helen was one of the original members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women. In 1990 she received the Governor General's Persons Award. She served for 14 years on the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission.
She died in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in 1993.[2]
