William was born 1754 in Glamorgan, Wales.[1]
He entered the Navy in 1769.
He married Rosamira Brett at Odiham, Hampshire on 30 October 1791.
William Nowell, of Iffley, Vice-Admiral of the Blue, died on 19 April 1828. He was buried at the parish church of Iffley in Oxfordshire on 25 April 1828. [2] [3]
This officer died at his residence, Court Place, Iffley, near Oxford, at the advanced age of seventy-three, on the 19th April last.[4]
