Biography

Marie Bauquier volunteered for voyage to Biloxi, Louisiana, New France colony arriving on January 8th, 1721 with up to 88 women aboard the French flute la Baleine. Her birth year of 1698 is calculated from the passenger list created in 1720 when she was 22. ^[1][2]

Marie Bauquier, daughter of Jean Bauquier & Denise Charlemagne, married Vivien Bailly, native of St Jean Dangely, Charentes Maritime, France, son of Julien Bailly & (Unknown) spouse, on 25 Jun 1721 at Old Biloxi. He was born 1690 and died 20 Sept 1728 at New Orleans, Louisiana.^[3][4]
