Biography
OBITUARY:
Freda Grace Cox, 88, of Columbia [MO] died today, Dec. 13, 1988, at Candlelight Care Nursing Home.
Services will be at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hawthorn Cemetery in Jefferson City.
Mrs. Cox was born Dec. 20, 1899, in Ben Lomond, Ark., to Arthur Thomas and Mary Pharabe Phillips Bell. She married Roy Cox on Dec. 5, 1919, in Foreman, Ark., and he preceded her in death. She belonged to the Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, William Cox of Clearwater Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Marie Obermiller of Columbia, Donna Pickering of Fulton and Betty Chapman of Kansas City; and 16 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
