OBITUARY: Melody D’Elaine Duke-Cunningham, 53, of Caldwell, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 6, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home at 11 am.

Melody D’Elaine Wilkerson was born in Galveston, TX to Gerald Glynn Wilkerson Sr. and wife Cordie Ann (Ives) Wilkerson on November 12, 1965. She loved her animals, especially her Saddie Lady, and spending time with her grand kids. Melody was always a good cook and enjoyed a good cup of coffee, don’t forget the cream and sugar. She could always tell you how it is, and give advice along the way. “Every time you see a dolphin or a butterfly, do think of me; love Mom”.

Preceded in death by all her parents; father, Gerald Wilkerson; mother, Cordie Skinner; step-father, Larry Skinner; a sister, Jackie Shepard; a daughter, Leah Cunningham; and “MeMaw”.

She is survived by husband, Lawson Cunningham; three sons, James Long, Stephen Morse, and Kenny Cunningham; daughters, Crystal Tillis, and Sara Hayes; grandchildren Zackery Levy, Charlie Long, Kayla Tillis, Jacob Tillis, Melissa Brennan, Justin Maniscalco, Jazmine Nickles, Hali Long; sisters, Elizabeth McCollum and Mary Holt; brothers Scooter Clark and Butch Goddard.
