Biography

Neil Burgess was an American Vaudevillian comedian who specialized in female impersonation of elderly "widders". ^[1]

Around 1882 he married Mary Stoddart ^[2]

On 1 June 1900 he (age 51) lived in Highlands with wife Mary (41) and son Neil, Jr. (8). Also living there was mother-in-law Ann Stoddart (60) and Maggie Hayes (20). He was an actor. ^[2]

On 1 June 1905 he (age 59) lived in Highlands, New Jersey with Mary (49) and Neil, Jr. (12). Also living there was Mary Fitzpatrick (26) and George Fox (36). Neil was an actor. His birth year was now 1845 vs 1849 in the US1900 census and his father was now born in Massachusetts vs England (US1900). ^[3]
