Biography
Dewey Hosmer, son of L. S. Hosmer and Sara Lou (Tatum) Hosmer, was born on 2 Feb. 1903 in Alabama.[1][2] He appeared on the census of 19 Jan. 1920 in the home of his parents at Parsons, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.[3]
He married Bessie Patterson, daughter of William B. Patterson and Gertrude (Weed) Patterson, on 6 June 1932 at Bessemer, Jefferson County, Alabama.[4]
He was a high school teacher when he and Bessie appeared on the census of 11 April 1940 at Parsons, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.[5]
Dewey died on 16 April 1964 at Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama[2] and was buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Abernant, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. His memorial has a photo of his headstone.[6]
