Michael Connolly was charged with neglecting to contribute to the support of Dennis Connolly, a blind and destitute person, his brother. As it could not be proved that M. Connolly was in a position to contribute, the court did not make any order, and requested the constable to communicate with the Charitable Aid Board on the matter.

Maintenance. — Dennis Connolly, a blind and destitute person, applied to have his brother, Michael Connolly, made to contribute towards his support. The evidence not proving that Michael Connolly was in a position to do so, no order was made, but the police were instructed to communicate with the Charitable Aid Board in regard to the matter.

Geraldine —Tuesday, May 16. [Before C. A. Wray, Esq., R.M. and M. 0. Orbell Esq., J.P.] CIVIL CASES. Elizabeth Johnstone v. Michael Connolly, claim £9 10s, board and lodging for his brother Dennis Connolly. Plaintiff stated that defendant had three years ago agreed to pay board and lodgings for his brother, who is blind and destitute. Defendant paid constantly for years, and then stopped but had always promised to pay. Judgment was given for plaintiff with costs, by default.
On 12 August 1917 Denis Connolly passed away, aged 60. [12]
