The 1850 US census for Bowdoinham, Maine lists residents George W Morse (40), a farmer, Rosanna Morse (37), George N Morse (18), a farmer, Augustus J Morse (15), a farmer, James T Morse (5), Charles C Morse (4), John N Morse (2), George W Morse (27), Betsey James (15), and Darias Hinkley (84), female. All were born in Maine except for Darias who was born in Massachusetts.
The 1860 US census for Bowdoinham, Maine lists residents G W Morse (58), a farmer, Rosanna Morse (49), Nelson Morse (28), a farmer, Franklin Morse (24), a farmer, H Duncenton (25), J S Morse (15), a farmer and student, Chas [sic] Morse (14), a student, and John N Morse (13), a student. All were born in Maine. George owns real estate valued at $2000 and has a personal estate of $300.
He married Henrietta Augusta Little on 25 Dec 1876 at Bowdoinham, Maine. The were the parents of three known children.
James died in 1919 at Seattle Washington. He is buried at the Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Lake Forest Park, King County, Washington.
