Master hammersmith at Maråker, Erik Jansson Björn, married maid Catharina Larsdotter 18 November 1781.[1][2]
Erik Jansson Björn's widow Karin Larsdotter in Maråker died 26 February 1826. According to her obituary she was born to foundry worker Lars Larsson and his wife Karin Larsdotter 23 April 1763. [3]
Research note
In several household records she is noted as born in Forsa parish. If not for that it would be tempting to think she is identical with Catharina Larsdotter the eldest daughter of Lars Larsson Skytt, whose birth record is also proving difficult to find. Her birth date where she appears in the household of her parents (Lars Larsson Skytt and Kerstin Olsdotter) is before their marriage.
Erik Jansson Björn and his wife Catharina Larsdotter appear as christening witnesses for Ingrid, the daughter of Per Larsson Långström (and granddaughter of Lars Larsson Skytt - Långström adopted his surname), in December 1789.[4]
Erik and Catharina also appears as witnesses for for Johan, son of Olof Larsson Skytt (son of Lars Larsson Skytt) in November 1793.[5]
Lena Björn (the daughter of Eric and Caharina) appears as christening witness for Eric, the last child of Olof Skytt, in Sep 1802.
However, since the community of smiths and foundry workers in Söderala seems to have been very tight, this does not necessarily point to a kinship.
