John was born in 1845.[1] He is the son of William Gerrans and Susan Tonkin. He died in 1904.[2]

Obituary

Terry, March 19. (Special to the Argus-Leader.)
After a short illness J. C. Gerrans died at his home in Terry at the age of 65 years.
The funeral was conducted by the Miners' union of Terry. Mr. Gerrans was born in England and was a brother of W. H. Gerrans of Spearfish.[7]
