Biography
Mountiford Westropp was born in Ireland.
Mountiford Westropp was born about 1658. He was the second son and eventual heir of Montiford Westropp, Comptroller of Limerick, and of Ballynamean, Kilkerin and Dromline and Bunratty, County Clare, and Frances Taylor.[1][2]
On 23 June 1703, he purchased the lands of Attyflin in County Limerick from the Commissioners at Chichester House.[1] He was a Justice of the Peace for County Clare in 1709.[1] He also had lands at Kilkerin, County Clare.[1]
Mountiford made his will on 25 January 1722.[1] He died in 1725 and his will was proved on 12 May 1726.[1][4]
