Graf (Count) Konstantin Alexandrovich Benckendorff former Commander in the Russian Imperial Navy and Assistant Chief of General Staff, Red Navy, he left Russia in 1924 and settled in England.

“Count C. Benckendorff. Count Constantine Benckendorff, D.S.O., died suddenly in London yesterday at the age of 79. He was the son of Count Benckendorff, Russian Ambassador to the Court of St James from 1903 until his death in 1917. Count Constantine served in the Russian Navy in the Russo-Japanese War and in the Great War, and after the 1917 revolution remained in Russia until 1924 when he made a new home in Suffolk. His autobiography Half a Life was published in 1954. He is survived by his wife, Maria Korchinska, the concert harpist, and a son and daughter.
