Karl, as "Karl Alfred Villiam" formally left his parish in Rogslösa, Sweden for Kristiania (Oslo) Norway on 2 Mar 1900.^[1][2]

On 7 Apr 1900 in Oslo, Norway, Carl was married to Agnete (also Agnette, Annette) Jakobsen (b. abt 30 Oct 1870 in Lillehammer, daughter of Jakob Olsen).^[3][4]

In the 1900 Census of Norway, Karl Alfred Williams can be found living in Oslo with Agnette Williams and their infant daughter Ketty Agnes.^[5] His occupation is Sømand Arbeider.

Karl Alfred William emigrated from Oslo, Norway destined for Chicago, USA on 17 Apr 1903.^[6]

Minnesota death records of Charles and Henry, as well as the birth record of Nellie, confirm that Agnettes's maiden name was Jacobson. Signe's death certificate, which may be in error, reports that her mother's maiden name was Fredrickson.^[11]

Over four decades of US Censuses, Carl can be found living in Minneapolis working as a janitor at the university (1910) and doing construction as a carpenter (1920, 1930, 1940).^{[19][20][21][22]}

Carl died on 10 Apr 1949 in Minneapolis.^{[23][24][25][26]} He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Minneapolis.^[25][26]
