Isador Mintz was born Israel Munitz about 1881 somewhere close to city of Dwinsk in Russian Empire (present day Daugavpils, Latvia). He was the son of Nison Munitz.
He was called Srul Munitz before his immigration to USA in 1906 where he joined his brother Harry Munetz. Isador used surname Muntz, which he then changed to Mintz upon becoming a Naturalized US Citizen.
He passed away in 1970 in Philadelphia.
