Biography

George HOFFMAN was born in 1841. ^[1] He was the son of Michael HOFFMAN. ^[2]

George served as a Corporal in Co. K. in the Illinois Infantry, during the US Civil War. ^{[3] [4]}

In 1868, he married Mary Emma MOCK. ^[5] He and his wife were Catholic. ^[6]

George and Mary Emma first made their home in English River, Iowa, where they can be found in the 1880 US Census. ^[7]

He and Mary adopted a daughter, Olive. They can be found living in Iowa in the 1900 US Census. ^[1]

He and wife Mary Emma can be found living in Johnson County in the 1915 Iowa State Census. ^[6]

He passed away in 1915 ^[2] and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Riverside. ^[8]
