Goodrich was born in 1821. He is the son of John Jessopp.

He married Adelaide Sweeney 10 June 1850 in Hamilton County, Ohio.^[1]

They were the parents of Emily Jessopp Maddox, 1854-1934, who died in Union Township, Clermont County, Ohio.^[2]

They were the parents of Augustus John Jessopp, 1857-1935, who died in Eminence, Henry, Kentucky.^[3]
