Biography

Bangor - Dorothy Alice (Hall) Look, 86, passed peacefully away on February 22 at St. Joseph Hospital with her devoted daughters by her side. Dottie, also called Dot, Doff and Doffie, was born in Halls Mills the only child of Elmer and Leola (Dinsmore) Hall. She loved reading and playing many musical instruments in various bands. Dottie graduated Valedictorian of Washington Academy and Salutatorian of Husson College before going to work at Pierce, White and Drummond and Paine Webber. She and her husband Jim raised their family in Veazie and then parted, but remained friends until his death. When Dottie moved to Glenburn her family followed and she enjoyed many happy retirement years with them visiting, on shopping trips, babysitting her adored grandchildren, going on Sunday rides with good friend Norman, sticking her feet in the lake on hot days and listening to the loons.

Dorothy is survived by her 4 loving children, Deborah Dufour and Dan who from a young age considered her always to be his second mom, Stephen and his partner Jacob Massey, Donna Narauska, and Jennifer Mahon and her husband Scott. She also leaves her 3 cherished grandchildren, Robert and Ryan Dufour and Jessica Narauska with whom she had a very special bond and 2 great grandchildren Emily and Jaxon Dufour. Doffie will also be sadly missed by her favorite cousins.

Her children wish to thank the wonderful 4th floor nurses of St. Joseph Hospital for their tender loving care in her last days. There will be a spring family service. "A Mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take." Our mother loved her dogs and kitties and gifts in her memory may be sent to the Old Town Animal Orphanage at Animal Orphanage, P.O. Box 565, Orono, ME 04473.
