Biography
Sarah March was born on 22 January 1771 in Scarborough, Maine. Her parents were Samuel March and Anna (Libby) March[1].
She married William Small, the widower of her sister Mary, on 1 November 1795 in Limington, Maine[2]. They had eight children[3]:
- 1. William, born 26 Jun 1796; married Sarah Barnes Hatch
- 2. James, born 18 Jan 1798; married Eliza Paques
- 3. Issachar, born 1 Nov 1799; married Martha Davis
- 4. Abner, born 27 Oct 1802; married Mary Handall
- 5. Eliza, born 11 Oct 1805; married Abraham Tyler
- 6. Lavinia, born 25 Jul 1807; married Daniel Tyler
- 7. John March, born 25 Jul 1810; married Hannah Jones
- 8. Harriet N., born 26 Jul 1813
Sarah passed away on 3 May 1849 in Calais, Maine[4], while visiting her daughter Lavinia[5].
