Biography
Samuel Plaisted was born on 17 February 1800 in Limington, Maine. His parents were Simon Plaisted and Hannah (Small) Plaisted[1].
He married Eunice Strout on 4 November 1821 in Limington[2]. They had six children[3]:
- 1. Eliza, born 29 Mar 1822; married Stephen March
- 2. Polly, born 10 Jul 1824; died young
- 3. John Wallace, born 4 Apr 1828
- 4. William Lewis, born 2 Oct 1830
- 5. Samuel, born 12 Nov 1832
- 6. Eunice, born 3 Dec 1834; married Lendall Goff
Eunice passed away in 1835, and Samuel married Eliza Martin on 7 August 1837 in Bridgton, Maine. They had four children[4]:
- 1. Simon, born 1 Apr 1838
- 2. Hannah, born 9 Jan 1840; married James Monroe Sanborn
- 3. Orlando, born 16 Apr 1846
- 4. Abby, born 16 Feb 1841; married Samuel Milliken
Samuel passed away on 16 November 1848[5] in Bridgton[6].
