Biography

Dorcas Pitman Thompson was born on 22 October 1807 in Limington, Maine. Her parents were William Thompson and Mary (Small) Thompson[1].

She married Freeman Strout on 29 August 1829 in Limington[2]. They had seven children[3]:

1. Eunice Freeman, born 1 Mar 1830; married Robert Hasty Brackett
2. Eliza, born 11 Jul 1832; married Leander Field
3. William Wallace, born 13 Aug 1835; died 1857
4. Augustus Adam, born 29 Oct 1836; married 1st Lizzie Lougee, 2nd Anna Mary Pillsbury
5. Charles Freeman, born 22 Nov 1838; died 1881
6. Unnamed infant, born 15 Jan 1842; died young
7. Erastus Green, born 2 Jun 1844; married Frances Ellen Brackett

Dorcas passed away on 28 March 1888 in Limington[4].
