Biography
Leander Moody was born on 21 May 1815 in Harrison, Maine. His parents were Daniel Moody and Elizabeth (Small) Moody[1].
He married Sarah "Sally" McKenney on 8 April 1839 in Limington[2]. They had seven children[3]:
- 1. Cyrus Hastings, born 8 Mar 1840; married Melinda Jane Foss
- 2. Mary Elizabeth, born 30 Dec 1841; married Frederick Elwell
- 3. Sarah Jane, born 20 May 1846; married Alpheus Boothby
- 4. Harriet Abby, born 13 Jul 1849; married Henry Coffin
- 5. John, born 6 Sep 1850; married Sarah Ella Meserve
- 6. Hannah, born 28 Jul 1855; died young
- 7. Anna, born 25 Feb 1857; married 1st Judson Sedgley, 2nd William Coffin
Leander passed away on 5 March 1879 in Limington[4] and is buried in Limington Village Cemetery[5].
