Lorraine K. Emanuel, 82 years of North Bend, NE died Sunday April 6, 2014 at her home in North Bend. She was born Nov. 6, 1931 in the family home near West Point, NE. to Philip and Kathyren (Schmidt) Rolf. Lorraine grew up at rural West Point and moved into West Point in 1949. Lorraine graduated from Guardian Angels Catholic High School in West Point. Following high school she worked as a bookkeeper for Thietje Oil Company and HW & RL Baumans until her marriage. She married Jerome Emanuel April 4, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point. After marriage the couple moved to a farm northwest of North Bend, NE and in 2006 they moved into North Bend. Jerome preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2010. Lorraine was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and St. Anne's Altar Society both of North Bend, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Diane Anderson and an infant daughter, Mary; and an infant son, Joseph. Survivors include her sons, Keith Emanuel of North Bend and Jeff Emanuel and wife, Stacy of Lincoln, NE; daughters, Deb Hoppe of North Bend and Donna Buell and husband, Michael of Bellevue, NE; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be at St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery at Clyde, North Bend, NE.
