Hannah Turner was born in about 1805.
Hannah married William Turner Harwood by licence on 2 Sep 1831 at St George's Church in West Grinstead, Sussex. William's parish was given as Washington, while Hannah was local. The witnesses were Henry Slate, and S. Waldes.
William and Hannah's son Turner was christened on 19 Feb 1832 at the church of St Peter and St Paul in Ashington, Sussex. William's occupation was given as miller, and the family's abode as Ashington.
William and Hannah's son Walter was christened on 1 Jun 1834 at the church of St Peter and St Paul in Ashington, Sussex. William's occupation was given as miller, and the family's abode as Ashington.
William and Hannah's son Henry was christened on 24 Oct 1839 at St Nicholas' Chuch in Poling, Sussex. William's occupation was given as farmer, and the family's address as Poling.
William died in about 1848. By then, he was a farmer and miller, and they were living at Chiddingfold, Surrey. His brother Henry Harwood was one of his administrators. He left a densely-written three-page will, so there may be more of interest in it.
Hannah died in 1877 at her home in Farncombe, Godalming, aged 72. She was buried on 19 Mar 1877 in Nightingale Cemetery, Godalming, in the unconsecrated section.
