Biography

Alexander (Cochrane) Cochrane of Auchincreuch is a member of Clan Cochrane.

Alexander was born about 1606.^[1] He married Agnes Richieson.^[2][3][1] They had two daughters: Jean and Elizabeth.^[4] They had issue:

1. William^[3]
2. James^[3]

He was a colonel in the king's service in the wars of Ireland, which started in 1641.^[5] Alexander died between 1671 and 1674.^[3][1]
