Biography

Lucy was born in 1900, the oldest child of Robert and Georgia (Mason) Williford. She would marry Everett Gaines Stith on September 17, 1921 in her home state of Missouri. Together they would have three children as follows:

Jean (Stith) Richardson (1930-2016)

Robert R. Stith ( -2015)

Edward Everett Stith (1934–1977)

Lucy would pass away in Arkansas in 1992 and then be buried in Ray County, Missouri.

LUCY STITH January 10, 1992

HARDIN, MO. — Graveside services for Lucy Willeford Stith, 91, Rogers, Ark., a former Lawrence, Kan., resident, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hardin Cemetery here.

Mrs. Stith died Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, at her home.

She was born June 7, 1900, in Richmond, Mo. She had lived in Hardin, Lawrence, Ottawa, Kan., and Topeka, Kan.

She moved to Rogers four years ago.

Mrs. Stith was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a Gray Lady volunteer at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa.

Her husband, Everett G. Stith, died in 1977.

Survivors include two sons, Robert R. Stith, St. Louis, and Edward E. Stith, Fayetteville, Ark.; a daughter, Jean Richardson, Austin, Tex.; a sister, Marjorie Ryther, Lawrence; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggests contributions to First United Methodist Church in Ottawa or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Sisco Funeral Home, Springdale, Ark., is in charge of arrangements.
