Biography

Flora Velma Adams was born September 16, 1903 and is the daughter of Leslie Adams and Chloe Hulbirt. She grew up in Forkston, Pennsylvania^[1] and Mehoopany, Pennyslvania^[2] along with seven siblings; Charles Olen Adams, Baby Girl Adams, Jay Hulbirt Adams, Berne Clifford Adams Jr, Lucy Catherine Adams, Helen Lois Adams and Anna Mildred Adams.

Flora married Glenn Melba Shoemaker March 24, 1924^[3][4] and they made their home Sayre, Pennsylvania,^[5] Towanda Borough, Pennsylvania^[6] and Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania until her death July 15, 1973. Together they raised five children; Alice Annett Shoemaker,^[7][8] Elaine L Shoemaker, Joseph Richard Shoemaker, Robert Keith Shoemaker and Glenda Ann Shoemaker. Flora is buried in Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany, Pennsylvania.^[9]
