Biography
Phoebe was born about 1789 in New York as per the 1850 US Federal Census. She passed away in 1861.
Buried besides the remains of her husband, John LaForge, in the Old Methodist Churchyard Cemetery, in Mattawan, New York. Their known children, all born in New York, were: Jane, b. 22 Jan 1813; Ellen J., b. 1815; Samuel, b. 4 Aug 1819; Elias, b. 26 Jan 1821; Mary E. b., 1842; & Sarah J. LaForge, b. in 1843.
There may have been as many as five other girls born before 1842.
