Described sometimes as the third son of Paul Burrard MP and his wife, Lucy Colt, [1]in reality George had at least 3 older brothers, Harry, William and Paul.
He was baptised at St John the Baptist in Boldre near Lymington in Hampshire on 22 July 1718. [2]
On 19 August 1750 he married Mary (or Madelaine) Durrell, daughter of John Durrell Esq of Jersey in the Channel Islands.[1] They were the parents of 3 children, Harry, Philip and Anne. [1]
George died in 1777. [1]
