Biography

Pieter was born in 1897. He is the son of Hendrikus van Knotsenborg and Adriana de Graauw.

On the US Census 1940, John, Frances and Max Imhoff were living together in a rented duplex house in Ozone Park, District 5, Queens, New York City, New York, USA. John was a "Yardman, Laborer: Retail Coal Sales" while Frances was a "Sales Clerk: Building Contractor." They lived next door to Frances' older brother, Erwin Bieber, 36, married with 2 children. Erwin was a "Proprietor, Construction Company," and it's likely his sister worked for him.[1]

John, Frances & Max Imhoff were still living in the same rented apartment on Liberty Avenue, Ozone Park, Queens, New York City, New York,USA, on the 1950 US Census. John was 53, Frances 47 and Max 19 years old. John was the "Asst. Mgr.: Lumber Yard," while Max was a "Chauffeur: Lumber Yard". Frances declared no employment. Her brother, Erwin Bieber, was still living next door with his wife and 2 sons. He was a "Proprietor: Construction Co." and his sons were working there as "Carpenters: Construction". [2]

John Imhoff died in May 1963 and his ashes were placed at the Fresh Pond Crematory and Columbarium, Middle Village, Queens County, New York, USA. [3] His wife, Frances (Bieber) Imhoff died in August 1967 in Queens, New York. Her ashes were placed next to her late husband's urn at the Fresh Pond Crematory and Columbarium, Middle Village, Queens County, New York, USA. [4]
