Birth

Raphael Augutus Hinds was born at Livermore, Maine, on 29 Mar 1858, the son of Winthrop F. Hinds and Sarah L. (Allen) Hinds.^[1]

Marriage

Raphael A. Hinds married Mary J. Cummings at Livermore, Maine, on 13 May 1882.^[2]

Children

Raphael and Mary Hinds were the parents of the following children. The Hinds genealogy says that they were all born at Livermore, Maine,^[2] but in 1900 the Hinds family was living at East Livermore,^[3] so it is more likely that at least Martha was born there.

Death

Raphael A. Hinds died in 1935, and he is buried at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Livermore Falls, Maine, where a Hinds family gravestone shows his dates as 1858-1935. A FindAGrave memorial, citing no sources, gives his death date as 19 Apr 1935.^[4]

Research Note

The censuses for 1910, 1920, and 1930 record Raphael's first name as "Ralph," but the other information in those entries make it clear that they are the listings for Raphael Hinds and his family, and Raphael is the name on his gravestone.
