Carmela Volonnino was born in Barile on 10 Dec 1862 to Michele, son of the deceased Rocco, age 38 (B.~1824) and his wife, Anna Maria Mazzeo. The side note on the birth record indicates her marriage to Mauro Fennone on 26 June 1881.^[1]

Carmela Volonnino was married to Mauro Fennone in Melfi on 26 June 1881. She is listed as a seamstress, age 19, born in Barile, the daughter of the now deceased Michele and the living Anna Maria Mazzeo. Carmela's family apparently had moved to Melfi prior to this marriage as her parents were listed as residing here. (Michele's pre-1881 death should be searched for here).^[2]

Her maiden name was given as Volinino & Volonnin in her son Alessandro's records. Note she shares a gravestone with him which notes 14th December, her memorial lists 13th and this record lists 15th^[3].
