Marie Amanda Adrienne Leclerc was born on 13-Nov-1894 and was baptized into the Catholic faith on the following day at Sainte-Famille-du-Cap-Santé. ^[1]

On 05-Jun-1922, Amanda married Alfred Papillon in Lowell, Massachusetts. At the time of their marriage, Alfred was living at 516 Moody Street and Amanda was living at 547 Moody Street in Lowell.^[2]

Note: 1973: Mrs. Amanda (Leclerc) Papillon, 78, wife of Alfred Papillon, died yesterday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Cap Sante, Canada, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John (Rosalie Papillon) Leclerc. Mrs. Papillon made her home at 30 Washington St. and was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church. She held membership in the Third Order of St. Francis for more than 50 years and L'Association Marie Immacullee of St. Jean Baptiste parish. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Therese Plouffe and Mrs. Roland (Pauline) Marchand, both of Lowell;. a son, Arthur A. Papillon of Lowell; 10 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. ^[4]
