A victim of the 2011 Christchurch Earthquake
'The Japanese student was studying English at the King's Education language school in the CTV building.
Yuki came to Christchurch in 2010 to learn English and was living in Linwood.
She came from Kyoto and was the eldest of four children. She had planned to return to Japan two months after the quake.
Yuki graduated from Rakutoh High School and went on to study at Otani University in Kyoto and then the Kyoto Career College of Foreign Languages.
